DRONE DEFEAT ROUND

The evolution of counter-drone technology has followed this pattern:

  • Initial electronic warfare and jammers were relatively successful against commercial drones, namely DJI platforms.

  • Evolution to First Person View (FPV) drones created new challenges, as these are significantly more difficult to counter with electronic warfare.

  • The advent of fiber-optic cable drones has rendered most if not all electronic warfare solutions ineffective.

The prevailing tactic of using shotguns has gained widespread adoption in conflict zones, particularly in Eastern Europe.

ADK has developed the premier round specifically engineered to eliminate this threat. Our ammunition uses superior materials to achieve maximum penetration and kinetic energy, disabling small UAS at the greatest possible, with the highest hit probability and  distance from a shotgun platform.

Since the inception of small UAS being used in combat, there hasn't been a comprehensive solution to this growing threat.

platform compatibility

The Drone Defeat Round (DDR) has been extensively tested on multiple weapons platforms for both the dismounted soldier, but also Drone-to-Drone aerial platforms.

The DDR functions in most military-issue shotguns (pump, semi, & auto) - our round is brand agnostic, however, performances may vary according to manufacturer standards, barrel lengths, muzzle accessories, and shooter ability.

ddr efficacy & tech specs

The energy imparted by the tungsten to the target drones provides kinetic kills from point blank to documented kills at over 80 meters in recorded field tests.

ADK DDR rounds provide a kinetic solution that maximizes the energy available in an existing platform (12-gauge shotgun) that will mobility kill, disable or destroy FPV, Fiber Optic, or swarming drones equally well.

The energy that tungsten delivers on target in combination with large pellet count presented in the ADK DDR round makes this round a viable option for larger emerging drones with secondary payloads or optical arrays like those being currently produced by Turkey and China.
